Main Street, 2006

This is a painting of our Main Street as a donation to the Downtown Revitalization program. It is now in the private collection of the University Chancellor. I have prints available in a limited edition of 50 in 3 sizes. Prices are $75, $110, and $125. The Giclee prints are professional archival museum quality on fine art watercolor paper. I am donating $40 from the sale of each print to the Downtown Revitalization program.

I will be releasing a second print in January. It is another area of the city and will be a limited edition of 50 in 3 sizes.

I will be doing one more painting for a total of three. I have not formulated the third one in my mind yet. I am thinking about a collage effect of several different historical areas of the city. I am waiting for the creative inspiration to become a vision.

I just finished his commission for a friend of her home.

I think this is the most difficult painting I have done in a long time. Getting all of the angles to flow right was a challenge.
The trim and the detail were a challenge. My goal was to keep it painterly and not look like an illustration. This is a beautiful home originally constructed in the late 1800's. The family spent three years having it professionally renovated with a beautiful sun room addition that kept with the style of architect reminiscent of it time. The porch was original to the home, but was removed sometime in the past. The family added it back. If I can find a photo of the home when it was built, I will post it.
