I worked a little more on this this morning. I wanted to get the sky in, so I would know how the greens should be rendered. I thought I might have lost the glow of the skin, but I will NOT do any adjusting to his skin until I have the rest of the painting done. I think next I need to get some of the darks in the tree trunk in so I have something to judge the values on.

Are you not using any masking for the palm fronds? If not, I applaud you for all that negative painting! This is goign to be another great one from you...Susan
