Girl

"Girl" is 22 x 28 watercolor. I am still contemplating the background. I also need a title. I took this photo at Wisconsin Dells and cropped out one of the girls. There were 5 girls waiting to get on one of the rides at Family Land. They were enjoying the day at the waterpark/amusement park. They would go on this ride, get off and get right back on. Oh, to be young again. I may eventually do the whole scene, but then again who knows. I paint what inspires me at the time.

What a patient little girl! I love her expression as she chews her thumb. You have done a fabulous job in this portrait. I like the background as is, being soft and flowy, it gives the figure more prominence.

Hi Marilyn,
I love this painting. I'm not sure you even need to do much to the background. Also, your geraniums are lovely. I'm glad to see you are working! I missed you at Judy's reception and last night at the Butterfly auction. Joyce said you are not feeling well. I hope you're better soon, but it doesn't seem to stop you from painting! Take care of yourself ~ Barb

I think the background is perfect! I always over think the backgrounds of my paintings and sometime they look over worked to me. I'm going to try yours soon. Thanks for the inspiration!
