Sunrise at the Pond"

"Sunrise at the Pond" is a 10 x 14 watercolor painting. I belong to a group of artists called 'The Visionary Artists'. The five of us have an upcoming show in September, 'Visions of Wisconsin'. Each month we come up with an inspiration for a painting. This painting of the whitetail deer was from the inspiration  a Wisconsin symbol. The deer frequented my backyard and I was able to get some nice photos. I started this painting by drawing in the deer. I then proceeded to paint wet in wet. The pond in front just appeared, so I developed it further. A typical scene you might come across in the Wisconsin woodland meadows.
