
I painted "Blue Heron" a couple of years ago. I posted it to show a technique I used to get a batik look. I used masking, poured on paints in yellow, blue and reds. Then I masked some more and did another pouring. Negative painting was used to start to identify some of the tropical leaves. When the masking was removed, I continued to use both positive and negative painting to bring it to finish.
I like the colors in this painting, warm and tropical. This painting has been sold.
