"Coconuts" is an 8 x 8 watercolor. I have been playing with color, hoping to create more of a glow in my paintings, by surrounding pure colors with grayed color. This did not turn out as I had visioned it, which I think is usually the problem with most artists. What we visualize in our heads is not easily transferred to the paper.

I know what you mean, and a long time ago decided to let the paint do more of the work..with the idea that it will come up with something better than I could have imagined on my own.
This is really good, makes me think to paint some coconuts. (or let them paint themselves)
